Lucy & Rob's Wedding at Netley Hall | Nicki Jones Photography, Shropshire

Netley Hall is a luxurious countryside estate situated near Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Lucy & Rob chose Netley Hall is their wedding venue, and kindly asked me to be their photographer to capture their special day. I was joined by Chris, as my second shooter for the day.

The groom, Rob, found the suits for him and his groomsmen at Peter Posh. The flowers, that his mother had supplied, looked amazing against the navy blue. The yellow really contrasted and added a lovely pop of colour.

The decor at Netley Hall makes for truly stunning photographs, especially of the ceremony. The grand staircase makes a perfect entrance for the bride on her big day.

This wedding ceremony shows the reason that I always have a second photographer with me to help me capture your special day. Being able to photograph the event from two different viewpoints offers a much bigger range in what is captured, and results in some beautiful images like these.

The grounds of the estate were a perfect setting for those all-important group shots. Before any wedding, I will make an appointment with you to visit your wedding venue so we can discuss possible locations for your group shots, so we can plan ahead before the big day.

I advise my couples to set aside one hour of the day dedicated to your newlywed photographs. It's also the perfect opportunity to escape as a couple, and have some important time together to take in the moment.

Lucy found her dream wedding dress at Trisha's in Oswestry. It looked beautiful with her bouquet which was made with love by her new mother-in-law.

Uplit Event Hire did an amazing job of decorating the room ready for the reception. The large table centrepieces were just incredible, and worked so well with the rest of the venue.

A flower wall is a great idea to feature at your wedding - it makes a stunning backdrop for both professional photographers and those guests who are partial to a selfie or two!

The first dance is always the best way to kick start the dancing for the rest of the evening. Lucy and Rob's guests really knew how to fill the dancefloor too!
